- Welcome & Introductions: Attendees introduced themselves and gave a fact about their organization.
- Fresno-Madera Executive Steering Committee: Chair Goldsmith went over ESC meeting norms, Chair and Vice Chair expectations, and Executive Governance Structure.
- Approval of June 10, 2022 meeting minutes: Motion by A. Jones (Sanger). Seconded by J. Buckey (Reedley). Motion passes.
- Regional K16 Collab Grant Update: Executive Director Hammerstom reiterated that the application deadline is October 14, 2022. Call made for Working Group Co-Leads and application reviewers. Interested individuals should reach out to S. Lambert.
- Fresno EDC’s U.S. EDA Good Jobs Challenge Grant Award: Fresno County EDC was awarded a $23M grant as part of the Good Jobs Challenge. The Collab will be serving as the backbone for the Business portion of this grant. The Collab has partnered with FCC and SCAEC to create some short-term certificate programs.
- Hot Question Discussion Question: Attendees were asked what they hoped to get out of their involvement with the Collab and how can we help?
- Executive Director Updates: Reminded board members to send headshots and bios to Sam if they have not yet done so. Survey feedback from the June 10, 2022 meeting reviewed.
